During several months of last year (2017) a group of us were caring for a friend with terminal cancer. While all the NHS services were exemplary there were times when drug regimens changed rapidly and supplies were a problem. The superintendent pharmacist at Hilltop Pharmacy regularly went beyond the call of duty to try and source the medicines we needed and to get them to the house, and always 'no trouble'. In very difficult and stressful times he was a rock and made life a lot easier for us. My grateful thanks to him and his team.

I used Hill Top whilst caring for a terminally ill friend. They are a very comprehensively stocked pharmacy with a wide range of services Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, from managing electronic prescriptions and ordering specialist pharmacy items, to same day deliveries. The pharmacist and the staff worked hard to keep us stocked with what was required, despite rapidly changing needs. They have a good working relationship with local surgeries, and the district nursing teams which meant a reduction in stress for us as the caring team. I could not get to see my gp for two weeks and I came across this private gp service which was advertised. The service was very efficient and a thorough explanation was given by the pharmacist. I went to the pharmacy to buy Rennie's but after my private gp consultation at the pharmacy I was advised to attend a&e. I was diagnosed with a heart condition called cardiomyopathy and now due to have an operation. I can't thank the pharmacist enough for prompt advice and saving my life. I've always found this pharmacy and it's staff extremely friendly and helpful. They take time out to provide a first-class service and make you feel like nothing is too much trouble. My daughter has been suffering with painful eczema for months with no improvement despite many courses of medications. The pharmacist informed me they would soon be offering allergy tests and I recently booked my daughter in for one. From the very start the staff dealt with my daughter with such compassion that for the first time in a long time she felt calm, assured and happy. She commented herself that the staff made her feel cared for and gave her hope that she would get well. The staff took time to explain things to us in great detail and conducted the test professionally. They were so sympathetic about my daughter's plight that they even kept the pharmacy open beyond closing time so that they could talk us through their findings. They went above and beyond for us and have been very supportive. I would highly recommend this pharmacy to anyone.

I am on regular medication and when I was going to my old pharmacy they never bothered to learn my name and it was like I never mattered just another face. The pharmacist and staff are amazing they never rush you along and they use my name as soon as I walk in before anything else happens. It really matters that I am seen as a person. As a person who is in the medical system a lot it is fantastic when people recognise that you are not just a faceless customer ...you matter. They will stand and discuss any issues you have and don't just sell you the most expensive item they have there. I have never done a review of a chemist before but you truly can't go wrong using this chemist.
